Fabrice Jiew – My raw, unedited, thoughts about Gen AI Customer Experiences.

I am the Founder of Automation Consulting @ www.automationconsulting.com.au

Gen AI, the word “Clunky”, and what it actually means for software providers!

“This system is so CLUNKY” said one of my clients about a world renouned ERP system named Odoo.

Its a term that I constantly hear from businesses around Australia.

But what the hell does CLUNKY even mean?

Surely its not this:

Or maybe its something more like this:

“An object that is hard to operate. Oddly proportioned in respect to its user.”

Crazy!

There are all these multi-BILLION dollar companies all around the world, and we can still define them as clunky? Hard to use? Not user-friendly?

See I thought about this, and this is what I came up with:

Why is modern day technology CLUNKY?

Over the years, there has been an incredible amount of hype around cloud systems. Consider the launch of Amazon Web Services in the early 2000s, all you would ever hear about in every office in every part of the world was the “cloud”.

Consider the amount of attention the “cloud” gets, for being a genius piece of technology.

Consider the amount of developers that poured their resources into it, the amount of attention it got, the amount of growing needs from every single business around the world.

Today’s technology is clunky, because we have overcomplicated it.

Why do we need 500 plugins for Salesforce, an extra integration component, an automation component, 2000 pages of documents just to use the damn thing?

We have truly overcomplicated the whole shabang.

And users like my clients, don’t know how to define it, other than the word Clunky. Because CLUNKY is a feeling, not a feature, not a structure.

How I plan to solve this?

Well imagine this. Imagine a world where you have nothing on the screen. Its blank. Except for this tiny little circle on the bottom that kind of looks like Siri, or Jarvis. (Or Ivy 2 in Automation Consulting terms).

This little circle takes all your data, and gives back all your data. No more CRMs clicking around left right and centre, now you simply speak to it, and it takes your data, or shows you on the screen what is relevant to you!

No more button clicking, form typing, reading through documents on how to do XYZ. Its as simple as having a Jarvis that knows all of your processes, your operations, your customers, your business, and is able to manage all of your systems on your behalf.

Well, that’s about all I can mention for now without giving too much away!

But if I can achieve the above, then I strongly believe I can remove this confusing word CLUNKY from our dictionary, and allow businesses across the world to now focus on DATA, CUSTOMERS, and ACTION, that their customers deserve to have.
